June 24, 2008, New Delhi: NIIT, a training and talent development corporation, has signed an agreement with Infospectrum, a software product development and technology services enterprise, to offer Infospectrum’s highly customizable Educational Resource Planning Solution – “QuickSchool” in schools.

Following this alliance, NIIT’s School Learning Solutions will extend its current offering for schools, to include QuickSchool. Infospectrum will continue to undertake research and product development for these solutions.

An agreement to the above effect was signed between L Balasubramanian, president, NIIT School Learning Solutions and Jay Chopde, CEO and founder, Infospectrum. QuickSchool is designed to be an integrated solution that spans across all functional requirements and departments of educational institutions.

QuickSchool will allow schools to manage information on Academics, Staff, Students, Examination, Attendance, Fees, Schedules, Payroll, Recruitment, Library, Hostel, Transport, Inventory etc. on a real-time basis. Teachers, management and other users can use these modules with minimal training. Its modular design will give the educational institution flexibility and scalability that can be configured in line with the growth of the institution.

QuickSchool, which is currently being offered by Infospectrum in over 140 premier schools, will now become part of the NIIT eGURU Solution offering. While NIIT will bring its expertise and reach in schools to the deal, Infospectrum will offer development and customization of the School ERP solution and modules for varied needs.

Jay Chopde, CEO and founder Infospectrum said, "The key to a school's success lies in the way it manages the deluge of information. QuickSchool will enable schools to seamlessly integrate information across different academic facets for better decision making". P Rajendran, COO, NIIT, said, "With this strategic alliance, we are now in a position to address the needs of all the key stakeholders within the educational realm – students, teachers, principals, school management and parents".
